Series Summary

Faith does not usually die all at once— it fades through forgetfulness. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians calls believers back to spiritual reality: who God is, who we are in Christ, and how that truth renews life, relationships, and resolve. This series walks through Ephesians to help weary, distracted, or stagnant believers experience a fresh awareness of God’s grace, power, and presence. Refreshing faith begins not with doing more, but with seeing clearly again — and living out of that renewed vision.

Sermon Summary

There is a kind of clarity that only comes when we remember where we came from. Before grace found us, we were not merely struggling — we were spiritually lifeless, unable to respond to God, swept along by the currents of a broken world and our own desires. It is humbling to admit that apart from Christ, we were not neutral but lost, not searching but wandering, not alive but dead. And yet, this memory is not meant to shame us — it is meant to awaken gratitude. When we see the depth of our need, the beauty of grace begins to shine with greater brilliance.

But God did not leave us there. Out of sheer mercy and love, he stepped into our death and spoke life. He did not wait for improvement or effort; he acted when we could not. In Christ, he made us alive, lifting us out of the grave of sin and placing us into a new reality — raised, restored, and even seated with Christ in a position of favor we could never earn. This is the breathtaking nature of grace: it does not simply rescue; it transforms. Our lives now stand as living testimonies to the immeasurable riches of his kindness, a display of grace that will echo into eternity.

And this grace reshapes not only our past and present, but our purpose. We are not saved by our works, but we are certainly saved for them. We are God’s workmanship — his carefully formed creation — designed with intention and renewed for a life that reflects his goodness. The same God who rescued us has also prepared a path for us to walk, filled with opportunities to live out his grace in tangible ways. So we move forward not striving to earn his love, but secure in it — alive in Christ, shaped by grace, and sent with purpose.
