Sermon Summary

Mother’s Day is a day we value at Parkview. It provides a great opportunity to honor our mothers, and to do so in a way that shows the biblical character God desires in mothers, and in us all.

This year, we turn our attention to Titus 2:3-5, and explore how God works powerfully through ordinary, everyday faithfulness. Instead of pointing the spotlight on major, public events, Scripture points to the quiet influence of women who live out their faith in real life — shaping homes, mentoring across generations, and reflecting Christ in daily choices. From the call to intentional discipleship between older and younger women, to the reminder that love, self-control, and purity are formed over time, Paul emphasizes that spiritual maturity is built in the small, consistent acts of obedience that often go unnoticed.

At its core, the home is not a secondary place of ministry, but a primary one — where the gospel is lived out and made visible. Every act of kindness, every moment of patience, and every choice to walk in grace becomes a testimony that either clarifies or distorts the message of Christ. Ultimately, this is not about striving for perfection, but about being shaped by God’s grace in a way that points others to Jesus. Whether you are a mother, mentor, or simply seeking to grow in your faith, your everyday faithfulness matters more than you may realize.

Happy Mother’s Day!
