Sermon Summary

With February comes Valentine’s Day, and a reminder of how we are to love one another. That, of course, is love in a romantic way, but love operates in other ways as well, and all of these forms of love stem from God’s goodness to us.

This Sunday, our Associate Minister, Nathan Smith, examined the topic of God’s good gifts to us, including marriage, but also so much more.

And, later this month, we are celebrating that goodness with a special event called Celebrate! A Night to Rejoice in God’s Goodness.

It doesn’t take a lot of thought to realize that God has been far better to us than we deserve. So when was the last time you truly celebrated with joy how good he truly is? This event provides an opportunity to celebrate in community. We will enjoy a night of food, fellowship, and dancing as we express to God how good he is and how thankful we are for it. Young or old, single or married, no matter what our stage or station in life, we all can celebrate the goodness of God. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.

We will celebrate God’s goodness on February 16th, from 5:30-8:30, in the Family Life Center. Pick up invitations at The Hub to give to friends and family, and make sure they RSVP! Mark your calendars and don’t miss it. We worship a kind, merciful, loving God, who is the giver of all good gifts and worthy of being celebrated. Come and do it with us!
