Sermon Summary

There are moments when life reminds us just how little control we actually have. We can plan, prepare, and do our best, but we cannot see what tomorrow holds. Psalm 121 answers those kinds of questions with a reminder: “From where does my help come?” The answer is simple: “My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Our help doesn't ultimately come from having everything figured out. It comes from knowing the One who does. One of the most comforting truths in this psalm is that God never stops watching over his people. While we sleep, God remains awake. When we are exhausted, he is not. When we don't know what to do next, he is still faithful. The psalm reminds us that God is not simply watching from a distance — He is our Keeper. He is with us when life is calm and when it gets difficult, when we're coming and when we're going, “from this time forth and forevermore.” We may not know what the road ahead holds, but we can know who walks the road with us. So take a moment to identify something you've been trying to control that you need to place into God's hands. You don't have to carry tomorrow today. You don't have to have every answer. Look up, remember who your help comes from, and trust the Keeper of your life.
